Spring Garden Festival Information

Planning of the next Spring Garden Festival begins in March of each year immediately following the completion of that year's festival event.  Approximately 25 people are involved as members of the Spring Garden Festival organizing committee.  The initial meeting of the committee examines the successes and failures of the festival just past and documents suggestions on how to improve the overall Spring Garden Festival experience in the coming year.  The theme for the next festival is established and the new year of festival planning and preparations is off and running.

After this initial meeting the committee takes a break until September when it starts in earnest to make the next festival a reality.  For the next six months, the Spring Garden Festival organizing committee meets about once a month as a group to coordinate ideas and activities.  In between group meetings, individuals and sub-committees explore specific areas of interest and address specific opportunities for improvement.  The end goal of the organizing committee and sub-committees is to create a springtime festival that welcomes over 10,000 visitors to enjoy the information, exhibitors, and entertainment that is presented in 200 booths, on 2 stages, and at a dozen live gardening seminars.
