The membership of the committee is constantly changing and as a result we are constantly looking for new members who will help in the planning of the festival or help in making the festival happen during the week before the scheduled event.
Three Specific Areas of Need
First we are always looking for people who can help us see weaknesses and provide new solutions. Our experience has show that vendors in all categories have provided us with helping to improve the festival over the years.
Second, we need redundancy on the committee. One of our most serious concerns over the years is that key people might, for a variety of reasons, not be able to participate in the festival at the last minute. Laying out the festival, supervising traffic and parking, coordinating booth assignments and a variety of other tasks fall on specific individuals who would be difficult to replace. Having a more than one people knowledgeable in these areas would mean someone would be there to step in if a problem occurs.
Third, a lot of help is needed each year to set up tents, tables and chairs, install signs, help vendors locate their booths and hundreds of other activities on the days before and the days of the festival.
How to Volunteer
If you are interested in helping with the festival in any of the above categories please contact the committee through the online contact form available on this website. Give us your name and contact information as well as a brief description of the activities you would be interested in being involved in and the skills you bring to the committee.
We look forward to serving with you in producing one of the best community festivals in the region!
