The common goals of the Spring Garden Festival Committee have remained the same since its founding 19 years ago.  These goals are:

• To provide the public with an opportunity to gather information about, plants, gardens and the environment.
• To provide a one stop shopping experience for plants, garden supplies and nature based arts and crafts.
• To raise funds to support beautification projects in the Gainesville/Alachua County area.
• To provide scholarships and research in horticultural studies.
• To support improvements to the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens.
