"The Independents" are the third sponsoring group that makes up the SGF Committee and have been part of the committee since it's founding.  This group is an informally organized set of people (indepent community volunteers) some of whom have been with the Committee since the first meeting.  Its members bring specialized knowledge and personal interest to the festival's planning and implementation.
